William Hendricks at NAPS

Here are a few pictures of William up at The Naval Academy Prep. School in Newport Rhode Island.

They have played 5 pre-season Lacrosse matches, only losing one to a 2nd Division team. They had a 'smashing' victory over The Military Academy Prep. School !!!

William handed me this picture over Thanksgiving.

He is in White, #24, passing 2 Army players, in NAPS victory, 12-0, over MAPS.

Firstie Weekend

From Donna Hartenstine

Here are a few of our family photos we took on Firstie Weekend in September.

Our son Mike was the 1st class on a sailing cruise this past summer.  His commanding officer is also a photographer and took photos of Mike while on that cruise.  One of those photos is now on display in the Sailing Center in the form of a huge decorative banner that hangs from the ceiling.

Next time anyone visits the sailing center on the yard, go up to the second floor, right outside the Sailing Hall of Fame.

The other photo was of us eating in King Hall-  Earl and I, along with our younger son, Harry and Mike.  It was our first visit to King Hall.  I can’t say I enjoyed the food, but I sure enjoyed the company.

Q. What about the penalties? I saw you run towards the officials after the game. I don't imagine you were telling them "good luck in the future."

A. I was just telling them what a great job I thought they did. We will look at the tape and see, but any time it's that one-sided, I mean I know we've been off three weeks but they were calling motion penalties on our slot backs for changing their stance. They said they were simulating the play, yet their whole left side of the line does a hitch on every play. Holding, tackling guys, I mean I saw the replay on the one they called on Reggie Campbell, holding on the reverse that we ran down to the four, that was ridiculous. Any time we hit a big play it was coming back. Then we score, and Lamar needs to know better than to jump up and down, but who is going to call that in a game with a minute to go and you just scored to win the game. The kid scored the go-ahead touchdown and is excited and jumps up and down and now you're going to give them another chance because you're going to make us kickoff at the 20. Then, on top of that, on the extra-point they have two guys behind the line pushing the down linemen through the block, which everybody knows is against the rules.

Q. Were those ACC officials?

A. What do you think?
